Slow Cooker Pork Belly With Honey Glaze

This Slow Cooker Pork with Honey Glaze is incredibly tender and infused with a sticky tangy glaze. This will be a hit for Sunday lunch and dinner parties.

For the Slow Cooker

2lbs (1kg) Pork Belly

Salt & Pepper

A pinch of Cayenne Pepper

For the Honey Glaze

60ml Chicken Stock

60ml Balsamic Vinegar

4 Tablespoons of Honey

3 Cloves of Garlic

1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

1 Tablespoon (each) of Dried Oregano, Basil, and Thyme

Salt & Pepper

1. With a knife, mark the pork belly skin diagonally in a diamond patter. Season with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper, by rubbing it into the skin.

2. Heat oil in a pan to medium heat. Add the pork belly, skin side down, and cook for 3 minutes until crisped. Lightly oil the bottom and sides of your slow cooker and place your pork in the slow cooker.

3. In a bowl, mix the chicken stock, balsamic vinegar, honey, garlic, olive oil, herbs and black pepper. Pour the mixture over the pork belly. Close the lid of the slow cooker and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 7 hours.

4. When the pork belly is cooked, sliced and serve with rice or noodles.
