We've all had (and love) pigs in blankets but have we have a new #ChristmasSideDish for you all to try this year... Carrots wrapped in bacon. Sounds crazy but if you're looking to take your veggie game to the next level, then check these out.
12 carrots peeled
6 slices of streaky bacon
1/4 cup of maple syrup
Ground black pepper
1. Preheat oven to 180C.
2. Wrap each carrot in half of a slice of bacon, and place onto a large baking strip.
3. Brush your maple syrup all over the carrots and season with black pepper.
4. Bake for 10 minutes, remove from the oven and brush any remaining maple syrup over the carrots. Bake for another 15 minutes, or until carrots are tender.
5. Serve and enjoy.
